Today is picture day at school, which means the girls are “dressed up.” My school has uniforms and “dress up” days are different from “dress down” days in the sense that girls are not allowed to wear jeans. This policy, of course, led to questions about whether colorful pants are considered jeans. And then there are the girls who are wearing sweatpants and claim that these are not jeans and therefore should not be prohibited on “dress up” days.
The moral of the story, however dressed up or down we are, is that we have made it through our first full week of school and that is something to celebrate!
