My mum’s dog died back in April, and yesterday I went with her to pick up our new Cockapoo. Welcome to the family, Puck!

Today is picture day at school, which means the girls are “dressed up.” My school has uniforms and “dress up” days are different from “dress down” days in the sense that girls are not allowed to wear jeans. This policy, of course, led to questions about whether colorful pants are considered jeans. And then there are the girls who are wearing sweatpants and claim that these are not jeans and therefore should not be prohibited on “dress up” days.
The moral of the story, however dressed up or down we are, is that we have made it through our first full week of school and that is something to celebrate!
I’m about to start my third year teaching and, as the title has doubtless told you, I finally have a classroom! My students are probably savoring their last days of summer, as I am, but I’m getting excited to go back school.
As promised, here’s the virtual tour. The quality isn’t the best because YouTube kept rejecting my file formats, but it’ll work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mqosOqcnsc&feature=youtu.be
